Preparing mothers for childbirth and ensuring a smooth recovery after delivery

Diastasis Recti is a separation of the left and right rectus abdominis ("six-pack") muscles due to stretching and thinning of the connective tissue that joins them. This connective tissues is called the linea alba and it goes from the bottom of your breastbone down to the pubic bone. As this connective tissue widens, the two halves of the muscles will move further apart causing the separation.
Anyone can get it, but it is widely common in pregnant and postpartum mummies as the growing uterus stretches the abdominal wall. This is completely natural and necessary as it enables our bellies to expand and make space for our growing baby during pregnancy.
As the baby grows, the increasing weight from the pregnancy may cause back aches, swelling and insomnia for many mothers. Prenatal massage not only alleviates discomfort, but also aid in a smoother delivery.
Getting out of shape, soreness in the breasts due to engorgement and womb recovery are a few of the many concerns new mothers have. Postnatal massages can help in relieving these worries and speed up healing.
Breastfeeding is one of the most amazing experiences for mothers. Yet, engorgements and plugged ducts might make it a challenging process for many. A massage targeted specifically for the breasts can smoothen the process.
